When a crop of marijuana is grown out in nature, the crop will have male plants unless they are removed early that will pollinate the female plants. The females will then bare seeds; these seeds are something that is not wanted by many people, because they would rather a crop of sensemilla.

The person that grows crops of Marijuana outside during the growing season in their location and may also grow indoors or in greenhouses during the colder seasons does not mind having the seeds from the pollinated female. These seeds that will be found on the female plant can be saved for the next crop, but they must be kept properly so that they will germinate when the time comes.

To save seeds the first thing that will need to be done is after the plants have been harvested and dried, the seeds should be taken off of the female marijuana using gloves and then placed in jars or containers that are air tight. After the seeds are in their storage containers, then they should be placed in a dry dark place to keep them safe and ready to be germinated when the person growing is ready.

This can be a large advantage, since there will be no need to look else where for seeds whenever the person wants to plant a crop of marijuana. When the next growing season is approaching the seeds can be germinated in time to get them into the outdoors crop as early as possible. That can be a large benefit in locations that have a short growing season because of cold weather.
