When a person decides they are going to grow pot in the house there are things to consider when deciding what room to grow the plant in. This will need to be a room that has the ability to only be used for growing pot plants, and not one that is used for work, sleep or recreation. This is for several reasons, first if it is a good crop then the plants are going to get large and fill the room, unless it is an extra large room.

The second reason is the plants will need special things, like light for many hours a day and during some growth periods it can even be as many as 24 hours a day. This would not be good for a person trying to sleep or watch television, since the lighting will need to be different than regular lamplight.

The room will also need to be one that will not be noticed by visitors, neighbors or strangers and one room in a house that is a perfect place for growing either a soil crop of pot or a hydroponics crop is the basement. This is a room that is out of the main traffic in the house, it is one that if the windows are blocked of will not draw attention from neighbors and it is one that can be kept at an even temperature easily.

This is also a room where the floor is concrete which means no carpeting to uninstall and it also means getting water; soil or anything else on the floor will not harm it over time. That is a large consideration when misting growing plants in a growing room with a wooden sub floor.
